Independent songwriters and musicians take note.

Found of creative agency Blue Clay Creatives Laticia Gibson moved to Canberra about a year ago to set up a new agency office.

“I was quite blown away by how focused on health everyone really was. I lived in Sydney and London for years and Sydney’s very health orientated but Canberra really blew me away,” she says.

With that in mind, she’s launched Mind Body Business, a two-day event for entrepreneurs and business people interested in a holistic approach to health, wellness and business. The first event is on in Canberra this October, with local and national speakers including Lola Berry, Creel Price and David Hohnke.

“We all know it takes a strong person to run a strong business and that strength comes from a healthy body and healthy mind, and Canberra’s got a really lovely energy that’s emerging,” she says.

This is where the song part comes in. Mind Body Business is looking for a song to form part of its promotions across the country on TV, radio and social media, and they’re putting the call out for emerging artists to pen and perform the track.

“We want a song that embodies the message of Mind Body Business so it’s gotta be uplifting, motivational – the kind of song you’d listened to at the gym and get fired up to.”

The winning artist will not only get national exposure, but will also have a music video produced by Blue Clay Creatives, a prize worth over $15,000.

But you don’t have long – the song competition closes on June 21.

Mind Body Business is on at the AIS on October 3 and 4. More information on the song comp and ticket sales available at mbbevent.com.au
